November 2013 Wrap Up and Books of the Month (Plus updates!)

BOOKS READ IN NOVEMBER 2013 ~ 16 books

UPDATE! Hey guys! It seems so long since I've last posted regularly in here. I just want to say that while I do love reading and books, I'm thinking of leaving my blog soon. It may or may not be just a break, but right now I'd say it's definite. It will probably happen around early next year, maybe in the next couple of months but just want to let you guys know. If you follow me on Twitter, I think some of you are already aware and I WILL do a blog post dedicated to that nearer the time. With the school work, the stress (I even have dreams about it), uni applications (which is confusinf the hell out of me) and family stuff, I'm just not that motivated enough to continue reviewing books. You may have noticed that reviews are getting less and less, which I'm so sorry about, but I'm beginning to feel like blogging for me right now is a chore. I may do one or more posts here and now, but.. *shrugs*

(Oh, and for all the release day launches/blog tour) that I've already said yes to, I'm still planning on doing that! :) Just that I won't be accepting or putting myseld down for more events.)  Like I said, I will do a thank you and appreciation blog post nearer the time because I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH and this blog has changed my life. In two short years, I can't imagine what I'd be like if I didn't have this blog. It's been a major part of my teen years. :)

BOOKS OF THE MONTH
My top books of the month!(in order, this time! :P)

1. Room For You by Beth Ehemann
Guys. I've read this baby FIVE freaking times. That's how good and heartwarming it is. If you love hockey players, then you should definitely get this one. I could talk about how awesome this book is but there's just not enough words. MY TOP BOOK THIS MONTH.

Room For You (Cranberry Inn, #1)

  2. Sentinel by Jennifer L. Armentrout
The perfect conclusion to one of my favourite series. Jennifer knows how to end a series.  Now I can't wait for the spin-off series (The Return!)

Sentinel (Covenant, #5)

3. Brooke (novella) by Veronica Rossi
Even though I hate Brooke in the series, this novella really made us understand her character. That doesn't mean I love her now, but I GET her. And plus, we get to be back in this world. Veronica's writing = BEAUTIFUL. Now, gimme INTO THE STILL BLUE please.

Brooke (Under The Never Sky #2.5)

So that's my reading for November! I was so disappointed by The Fiery Heart, bought so many books by Kelly Jamieson, discovered my love for hockey, and Sentinel just gave me hope that yes, some authors do know how to end a series.

Blog Tour: Crash Into You - Katie McGarry (Review)

Crash into You (Pushing the Limits, #3)

CRASH INTO YOU (Pushing The Limits #3)
november 26th, 2013

Harlequin Teen
From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane

The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life-that's who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers...and she's just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker-a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can't get him out of her mind.

Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks-no matter how angelic she might look.

But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they'll go to save each other.

MY REVIEW

WOW! Katie McGarry never fails to amaze me! She's done it with her debut Pushing The Limits, then Dare You To and now Crash Into You! Her books just keeps getting better and better and this third in the series is my personal favourite.

Isaiah has always been my favourite character of the whole series and I'm so glad we got to read his own story as I didn't like what happened to him in the second book. This guy deserves everything, the happy ever after and all that. I love how in the outside he looks like this scary tattooed dude but inside he's probably the kindest out there. How can I resist that?! I just fell in love with him more and more in this book. Move over, Noah and Ryan.  No doubt everyone will love Isaiah and his love for Rachel and cars!

Rachel was a character that I didn't expect to like as much as she comes across as this rich and spoiled brat from the blurb but I couldn't be more wrong. Her family looks perfect but in reality they are falling apart. Oh, how I love Rachel's four older brothers!! Love how they're all so protective and cool over their only younger sister. Wish I had them brothers. :P

I didn't know anything about cars going into this book, and while some scenes had me going like 'what are they talking about?', it didn't really bother me for the most part and I thought that driving aspect brought something unique to this book. I love how Rachel's so obsessed with cars!

I know some people have commented about the insta-love, or insta-attraction and while that might have turned me off, it suprisingly didn't with this book. I don't know why exactly, maybe because of McGarry's beautiful writing or compelling characters? And, to be honest I didn't think it was insta-love. Yes, they were attracted, but so not love from the beginning. I thought it was perfect for the story.

After reading three unputdownable books from Katie, I'm now a fan for life and soooooooo impatiently waiting for West's book coming out next year!! I so need his story now! :)
