On Earth, seventeen-year-old Ari Alexander was taught to never peek, but if she hopes to survive life on her new planet, Loge, her eyes must never shut. Because Zeus will do anything to save the Ancients from their dying planet, and he has a plan.
Thousands of humans crossed over to Loge after a poisonous neurotoxin released into Earth's atmosphere, nearly killing them. They sought refuge in hopes of finding a new life, but what they became were slaves, built to wage war against their home planet. That is, unless Ari and Jackson can stop them. But on Loge, nothing is as it seems...and no one can be trusted.
If you haven't read the first book Gravity yet, please go and buy it now! This action-packed sci-fi YA series is not to be missed, even if you're not that fan of aliens. Trust me, the way the author wrote them was exciting and unique and just so bloody awesome. While Hover wasn't as epic as Gravity was for me, it's still a worthy and enjoyable read that has me begging for the last book now.
I fell in love with Ari and Jackson in Gravity and had me rooting for them both. In Hover, their relationship goes through a lot and I kinda missed how they were in before and before the truth came out. Also, I didn't agree with most of their decisions. There was a bit where near the end (spoiler!) they did something and I just didn't agree with it. I was like, really? You're going to do that NOW? *face palm*
Moving on...the plot was more intense, nerve-wracking and full of twists! There was literally times when I couldn't believe what was happening. The author really knows how to not let the reader go until the very last page. She keeps you hooked with her strong writing style and her powerful world-building. Also, the antagonist in this series may be one of my favourite ever bad guys. He's sooo frightening that in every scene he's in I'm like screaming to the characters to get out of there! He's really one of those you do not to mess with...
Even though I didn't enjoy Hover as much as I did for Gravity, I still consider this series to be one of the best YA Sci-Fi out there and the ending! OMG. That was one hell of a cliffhanger! I NEED BOOK THREE NOW PLEASE.
