Updates and Showcase Sunday (48)

Hi guys!

Before I do my Showcase Sunday post, I just want to say a few things as some people have asked why I haven't been around much/blogging much. The truth is, I'm super busy right now with school work, uni applications, open days and portfolio work that I just don't have the time to blog regularly and post as much reviews as I want. I'm still on Twitter and Goodreads a lot though. :)

I don't know whether I'll be able to get back to blogging regularly next year or not, but I promise that I won't disappear entirely.

Anyway, here's the books I got this week!

Hosted by the lovely Books, Biscuits and Tea, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto e-readers each week.

Sweet by Erin McCarty
I actually enjoyed the first book and I can't wait to read about these two side characters. Thanks Intermix!
Three Broken Promises by Monica Murphy
I am in love with this series and while it's not about Drew or Fable, I'm still so excited! Thanks Bantam!
Second Chances by Jo Briggs
I do love reading stories about second chances so of course I signed up for the blog tour! Thanks to the author and Shane for hosting it!
One & Only by Viv Daniels
Rated it4.5 stars. I really loved this one. Review for blog tour coming up soon. Thanks to Viv!
Isn't She Lovely by Lauren Layne
Rated 5 stars. I AM IN LOVE. Thanks to author Cora Carmack for the recommendation and so I found this book on Netgalley and had to request it. Finished it within a day and I now am a big fan of Lauren Layne. Review coming soon.
Solving For Ex by Leigh Ann Kopans
This is described as a bit like Mean Girls. Awesome, right? And Leigh Ann is possibly the sweetest author out there! Thanks Leigh Ann! :)

Trust in Me (Wait for You, #1.5) RedAllegiant (Divergent, #3)
(Never) AgainTeardrop (Teardrop, #1)Wild Child (The Wild Ones, #1.5)

Trust In Me by J. Lynn
Rated it 4 stars. Lovely to be back in this world and even more lovely to be in Cam's head this time. It is quite repetitive but there's still some new scenes. Can't wait for Be With Me!
Red by Alison Cherry
This is about redheads and fake redheads. Need to read this soon.
Allegiant by Veronica Roth
Rated it 1 star. My very honest rant will be coming soon. Watch out.
(Never) Again by Theresa Paolo
I can't resist stories like this. Need to find the time to read.
Teardrop by Lauren Kate
I know I said I wouldn't get this, but that cover and the colours screamed at me.
Wild Child by M. Leighton
Rated it 3 stars. Liked Jenna and Rusty's story. Won't be writing a review as this was only a novella. For fans, it's worth the read.

So that's my haul for the week! What do you think and is there a book that you think I should read immediately?

  2. 1 star? Oooh, so sorry that you didn't enjoy it :( I still need to get a copy and read it so I'm avoiding reviews - but I'll make sure to come back and check out yours later.

And good luck with school! I know how you feel, I went through the same thing a while ago :(
