A Little Too Far (A Little Too Far, #1)
Have you ever gone just a little too far?

Lexie Banks has.

Yep. She just had mind-blowing sex with her stepbrother. In her defense, she was on the rebound, and it’s more of a my-dad-happened-to-marry-a-woman-with-a-super-hot-son situation. But still, he’s been her best friend and confidant for the better part of the last few years … and is so off limits. It’s a good thing she’s leaving in two days for a year abroad in Rome.

But even thousands of miles away, Lexie can’t seem to escape trouble. Raised Catholic, she goes to confession in hopes of alleviating some of her guilt … and maybe not burning in hell. Instead, she stumbles out of the confessional and right into Alessandro Moretti, a young and very easy-on-the-eyes deacon … only eight months away from becoming a priest. Lexie and Alessandro grow closer, and when Alessandro’s signals start changing despite his vow of celibacy, she doesn’t know what to think. She’s torn between falling in love with the man she shouldn’t want and the man she can’t have. And she isn’t sure how she can live with herself either way.

MY REVIEW

A girl has to choose between a priest and her step-brother. Both are so forbidden that I knew I had to read THIS book. I mean, I have to know who she ends up with, right? There are so many things I loved about this book that this review just wouldn't do it justice.

First, our main heroine visits ROME! That's like one of my favourite cities and one that I wish to visit someday but with the how the author wrote it, I really felt like I was right there with Lexie and Alessandro. And, you don't see a lot of New Adult books right now that aren't set in America. So the wonderful setting really made it stood out.

Lexie was a protagonist that I ended up loving and now I really admire her. This girl made me laugh out loud several times and while some of her decisions were quite stupid, I didn't like her less because of that. She grew and matured and really thought about what she really wanted. Go Lexie! Also, she's very interested in arts. I say we need more protagonists with a love of art! :)

Now the love triangle. Obviously you guys know I hate love triangles, and before starting this one I was quite worried as to how it will go about. But I really didn't mind the love triangle, and we both got to really know Trent and Alessandro. I gotta admit though, the whole priest thing kinda weirded me out even more than the step-brother thing. Yes, I know he wasn't yet a priest, but still. Don't really know what it says about me, but I had more problems with seeing Alessandro as a potential love interest than I did with Trent. TRENT I LOVED. I was Team Trent right from the very beginning, and that didn't change. Although that's not to say that I didn't end up really liking Alessandro. He was so sweet and thoughtful. But Trent won my heart. I'm not Lexie though so you have to read the book to find out who she choose (if any!)

There are a lot of steamy scenes in this book, which I really can't complain about because I don't mind them. ;) The ending was satisfying but there was one thing I didn't like about it (It's not about who she chose, but how she handled it, btw). So that bit and the whole priest thing knocked a star off but overall, it's a very sexy NA book not to be missed.
