With the intrigue of "Memento" and the romance of "The Time-Traveller's Wife", "Forgotten" is the perfect YA novel.

Each night when 16 year-old London Lane goes to sleep, her whole world disappears. In the morning, all that's left is a note telling her about a day she can't remember. The whole scenario doesn't exactly make high school or dating that hot guy whose name she can't seem to recall any easier. But when London starts experiencing disturbing visions she can't make sense of, she realizes it's time to learn a little more about the past she keeps forgetting-before it destroys her future.

Part psychological drama, part romance, and part mystery, this thought-provoking novel will inspire readers to consider the what-if's in their own lives and recognize the power they have to control their destinies.
London Lane 'remembers forwards, and forgets backwards'.

Loved the concept - combining reality with paranormal elements. LOVE.
The perfect mix that I would like to see more of in the future. I am obsessed almost with the mystery aspect;I didn't guess a thing right! It was perfectly executed and just pure awesomeness. The writing is very easy, straight to the point and has a very relatable voice. There was a lot of funny moments, a lot of laugh-out-load moments, and there was also just a pinch of sadness. Which is a definitely a great balance.

London, the protagonist and narrator, was a genuinely great heroine. She's relatable, trustworthy, she cries (just like every teenage girl), she gets humiliated, she gets nasty mood swings, there's just that girl-next-door feel to her. Can I just mention how much I love her name? London Lane - so cool (well, in my opinion anyway :P )

It's so scary - when the clock counts down to 4:33am that's when her mind resets and all her memories are wiped clean. As she said 'she feels like walking into the world partially blind'. I wouldn't be as brave as her if I was in her position. There are numerous scenes which depict how hard it is - how hard it is for the reader, and how hard it is for her. Yet she stays strong. I love how the book started with one of her notes, that she keeps reading every day to remember stuff. This quote 'For me, reading is remembering'. SO TRUE.

I like London's comebacks. I like how her mum was actually in her life. She knew about London's mysterious 'condition', they actually communicate with each other, they actually support each other. Oh yeah, and they fight as well. Just like me and my mum. They are NORMAL. I hated Jamie - her supposed best friend. She's selfish, careless, stubborn. Oh, and add in stupid in there aswell. Urgh. If I was London, I would have smacked her by now. That bitch.

Luke was really sweet. A boy who's obsessed with ears. Literally. I love his cheesiness and nerdiness. And how they discussed sex. So sweet, and realistic. Throughout the novel, it was revealed slowly why their attraction /romance was moving fast. And suddenly, it makes sense.

Overall, this book is about a girl not finding herself, it's about a girl CREATING herself. How would you feel if you can only remember the future? But not what happens tomorrow, or the day before? I would feel shite. But this girl rose above that, and through all the struggles and miscommunication, overcame and came out stronger. I would definitely recommend this book. :)
