it's almost

time for war.

Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.

She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.

Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.

In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life.

OH MY GOSH. There's so much stuff I want to say about this book (and almost all of them are good!) that I'm just writing this review as I go along and I probably won't even make sense but who cares. What you just need to know is that: I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK.

Juliette! Ahhhh, I love Juliette so much! Ever since I met her in Shatter Me, I've always admired and loved this girl so much. Definitely near the top of my most favourite protagonists. Let me tell you guys, with her shitty life, I would have probably gone ape shit by now and start killing people like they want her to. Yes, I'm crazy. But Juliette is just so good. I love how even after all she's been through, she's still so kind-hearted and passionate and sweet and just lovable. You can't help but admire and respect this girl. Yes, she can be naive and maybe made some stupid decisions and mistakes, but unlike some of the YA protagonists out there, Juliette never annoyed me. (Which is pretty rare, peeps. Really rare.)

I meet again with another of my book boyfriends. Who? ADAM! Sigh. I'm sooo frigging in love with this guy! Adam is a nice guy, and even though I prefer bad boys almost every time, I just can't help but fall in love with Mr. Kent. He's sooo yummy! And sweet and hot and sexy and oh dear he's tattooed with blue eyes and dark brown hair! Umm, who told Tahereh that that I'm a sucker for the blue eyes/dark hair combination, huh? ;) Oh, and there were some heartbreaking moments from my favourite couple and I just want to say to Adam: I'm here for you, baby!! *sobs*

Now about that love triangle. Honestly, I don't know what to make of it! Yes, I'm still Team Adam (right from day one, baby!) but I also began to like Warner too. I understand why some people are Team Warner, though only by reading this sequel. I HATED Warner in Shatter Me, then began to like him Destroy Me. Now, I just feel sorry for him. Poor guy. I really appreciate that we began to know more about him in Destroy Me and Unravel Me. Just goes to prove that not everything is as it seems. There's a much bigger story out there. Anyway, this love triangle has its bad and good, and after THAT Chapter 62, I have no idea what will happen in the final book. (Psst. Gotta admit that chapter 62 everyone's talking about is so HAWT.). *clears throat* Still Team Adam though.

The super amazing highlight of this book? Tahereh Mafi's unique writing style! Eeeeeep. *flails* Guys, it's just so beautiful and perfect. Her writing is just so...ah. I can't even describe it! So lyrical! And the way she describes things *dies* She just brings Juliette's voice alive and this series has to have one of the most strongest narrative voices. Ever. Tahereh is one of my favourite authors and I will read everything that she publishes in the future. Total fangirl over here!

Unravel Me is filled with tons of action too! The plot definitely steps up and it's so fast paced and brilliant engaging! I couldn't put this down! This series is one of my all time favourites and one of the few dystopians that I love. And the side characters are all great too. Kenji!! He's so funny and I just want to hug Adam's little brother, James! I'm not a big fan of Castle but I do love the twin girls! And before I forget, guys, there was this BIG (and I mean, BIG!) revelation like in the middle of the book that had my mouth gaping like a damn fish. I was like WHAAAA?? ARE YOU KIDDING?? But it was very clever indeed. And we finally figure out Warner's first name too. Gotta say, that? I never would have guessed, and I do think it suits him. Haha.

This is even better than the first book Shatter Me and I am DYING for the final/third book. It's going to be so unpredictable and AHHHH. Anyway, Unravel Me definitely deserves all the hype it gets and I hope that this will make the NYT Bestselling List since it kicks ass! Undoubtly one of my favourite books of all time - dystopian or not - and I will be sure to re-read this again soon. It's that good. ;)

  1. Still Team Adam here too.
Glad to know our Team is still alive, lol

Sure, that scene may have been hot, but then.. it was no different to those HOT scenes in chapter 3? I think between Adam and Juliette.
